Don't Miss December for Monday, December 5th
We will have a blue Christmas without you! Wear blue and white!

SOAR students had a blast serving and making a difference at Foothills Retirement Community. They decorated doors, talked with the residents, and spread Christmas cheer.
Special thanks to Steve and Missy Fitch from Rock Springs Baptist Church for helping organize this community project and to Ms. Willis, Miss Dunaway, Mrs. Whitmire, and Mrs. Moats for sponsoring this club!

A lot of learning and fun happened today at CWE! Some of the activities included:
First graders enjoyed their Scarecrow Day full of themed activities.
Third grade practiced their ELA skills at The Spooky Adjective House. Students were surprised as they stuck their hands in unknown fun Halloween themed bowls that were hidden from their view. Some spooky things they felt were a Zombie hand, Vampire skin and witches fingers! They were to then write two adjectives to describe how each item felt or smelled. When it was all done, it was revealed that everything was food!
Mrs. Sheriff and Ms. Porter’s kindergarten class had an awesome day of learning that included all things pumpkin! After reading a nonfiction book about the pumpkin life cycle, Mr. Holliday and Mrs. J Sheriff came in to carve a pumpkin with the class. Students were so excited to help with this activity. Later on, they were able to use the pumpkin seeds to continue their math unit on addition and subtraction. They ended the day with a class celebration after winning first place in the PTO Pumpkin Fundraiser. Learning at Crosswell is so much fun!
Our PTO Pumpkin Contest winners enjoyed their popcorn parties today! Congrats to Miss Sheriff, Mrs. Valera, and Dr. Merritt’s classes for earning 1st-3rd place!
