Our food drive for Clemson Community Care is going strong! We’ve already collected TWO TRUCKLOADS of donations, and our Tigers are still going! 🚚🎉
There’s still time to join in! We’ll be collecting non-perishable food items through Friday, and the grade level that collects the most will win a SUPER-SIZED RECESS! 🎉
This is a wonderful opportunity for our students to give back, spread kindness, and make a difference in our community. Let’s keep those donations coming and show Clemson Community Care just how much heart our Tigers have! ❤️🐯

Third-grade students have been exploring animal adaptations and habitats through science and narrative writing. This week, they put their science skills to the test by dissecting owl pellets! Students investigated what owls eat and discovered how examining the remains can help scientists learn more about an owl’s diet and habits. They then used their discoveries to support their writing and bring their learning to life!

A vision for the future is becoming a reality!
On October 26, 2026, the SDPC Board of Trustees gathered at the Gateway to Innovation construction site for a special dedication recognizing their visionary leadership and commitment to this exciting new chapter in Career and Technical Education.
A plaque installed in the building’s lobby honors the Board for the vision and forward-thinking work that have helped bring Gateway to Innovation to life.
This project represents SDPC’s commitment to Visionary, Future-Focused Innovation and creating meaningful opportunities for students to explore career pathways, discover new interests, and develop skills for future success.
Gateway to Innovation is scheduled to open in January 2027, welcoming school groups during a soft opening in the second semester. A grand opening celebration will follow, giving the community an opportunity to see the new facility firsthand. Be on the lookout for more details!
We’re grateful for the leadership that continues to move our district forward and excited for what Gateway to Innovation will mean for students and our community.

Math came to life in fifth grade with a Food Truck Festival! After completing a unit on decimals, students put their skills to the test by creating their own food trucks, catchy slogans, menus, and prices.
As customers, students worked within a budget, estimated costs, made purchases, and added prices using decimals. 💰🧮
Our Tigers had a fun and creative way to put their math skills into practice while learning through real-world experiences! 🐯💙🧡

Thank you to our wonderful PTA for hosting such a fun event for our Clemson Elementary families! From games and the petting zoo to face painting, delicious food, and time spent with friends and family, there was something for everyone to enjoy! 🐯🧡💙
We’re so grateful to our PTA and everyone who helped make this event such a success! ❤️

Kindergarten students in Mrs. Burrell’s class brought learning to life with a fun Shape Pizzeria! As they studied the letter “P” and explored two-dimensional (2D) shapes, students combined literacy and math in a creative, hands-on learning experience.
The Shape Pizzeria gave students an engaging way to practice recognizing shapes while connecting their classroom learning to a familiar favorite—pizza!🧡💙

Our third grade students had the privilege of receiving their very own dictionaries and putting their word power skills to work as they learned to look up words, find meanings, and discover new vocabulary! 🔎📖
A special thank you to the Rotary Club of Clemson for donating dictionaries for every third grade student. Later this year, students will also receive their own copy of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory to enjoy during their unit on the book—another generous donation from the Rotary Club!
We are so thankful for the continued support of our community and the investment they make in our students and their education!

Students in Mrs. Ramsey's and Mrs. Turner's classes enjoy visiting Eden Farms throughout the year as part of the Happy Hooves Therapeutic Equestrian Center program! These special experiences help students practice following directions, caring for animals, facing challenges, building self-control, and gaining confidence.
And, of course, one of the best rewards is getting to ride a horse! 🐎💙🧡
We are so thankful for the opportunities Happy Hooves provides for our students!
